Arne Tischer, B.Eng.

Arne Tischer (*1992) developed an unusually wide range of interests at an early age. As a teenager, he spent entire days playing the guitar, designing and printing his own T-shirts, assembling his own computer and teaching himself programming. After graduating from high school in 2011, he moved to Leipzig, where he devoted himself intensively to music and his second great passion - linguistics.
In his late twenties, his enthusiasm for craftsmanship increasingly led him to various construction sites, where he was particularly fascinated by wood as a versatile, aesthetic and sustainable material. This led him to study wood technology (B. Eng.) at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development. There he also rediscovered his long-dormant love of programming: in addition to the programming language Python, he is particularly enthusiastic about the possibilities of parametric modelling with Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper.
Arne has lived in Leipzig again since September 2024. Most recently, he wrote his bachelor's thesis at FLEX on the topic of "Accuracy analysis and optimisation of robotic joinery in timber construction".
