Jan Philipp Seeland, B.Sc.

Jan Philipp Seeland (*1998) is a Master's student of computer science at HTWK Leipzig, specialising in computer engineering. He already gained practical experience as a working student at SKDK GmbH in the software development and programming of FANUC industrial robots during his bachelor's degree. In addition to robot programming, his expertise also includes HMI design, microcontroller programming, computer vision and prototyping.
As a founding member of the start-up ReBotik, he develops innovative solutions for industrial robot software. His research projects focus on technologies such as gesture control of KUKA robots using Microsoft HoloLens and the integration of AI-supported approaches in robotics.
Jan Philipp has been a research assistant in the FLEX.team since July 2025. He is responsible for the maintenance and further development of hardware and software solutions for robot-assisted wood production. He also supports the team with his experience in robotics.
