Svenja Kwisdorf, B.Eng.

Svenja Kwisdorf (*2001) was born and grew up in Aschersleben. She discovered her interest in buildings at a young age and decided to study civil engineering at the age of 13. From 2020 to 2023, she completed her Bachelor's degree at HTWK Leipzig. She then continued her studies with a Master's degree, specialising in structural engineering/building renovation, also at HTWK Leipzig. She is aiming to complete her Master of Science degree in 2026.
During her Bachelor's thesis, Svenja's topic brought her into contact with Prof. Dr Alexander Stahr, who introduced her to the world of FLEX introduced her to the world of FLEX. She quickly recognised the opportunities and her interest in research. Svenja has now been a member of the team since April 2024.
In her bachelor's thesis, she worked on the FEM modelling of lightweight wooden lattice girders made of plywood panels, known as loosener girders. These are primarily intended for use in stage construction.
In her free time, she has been involved in the student council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering since the 2nd semester of her Bachelor's degree and is generally very interested in the processes of student life and university politics.
